hello & welcome to
TerraLuxe Photography
thanks for visiting my page! let me introduce myself. . .
. . . my name is Jamie.
A little bit about me as a fellow human;
I am a nineties baby born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
…not the ‘carhartt beanie and flannel’ version you may be picturing; although that’s a very comfortable fit.
I am the version that wears hoodies year round, cherishes a good durable pair of jeans and can be found in three types of footwear at any time of the year - boots (hikers or cowboy) flip flops, and classic black and white converse.
My world is made up of my beloved husband, our super sassy daughter, and our rock star retriever. They keep me on my toes, constantly running around but with intention. They inspire me to be a better human, not just a better wife and mother.
I have a hundred different creative outlets; leather craft, creative writing, sewing, painting, etc., but i’m happiest outside. Hunting, fishing, hiking, kayaking, gardening; I love it all. Even better if I have my camera in hand. I love western movies and shows, particularly most works of Quentin Tarantino and Taylor Sheridan. I love ‘80s, ‘90s and early oughts country music - the only country music that matters in my opinion. Don’t come for me.
remember - we listen and we don’t judge.
I bawl my eyes out watching movies like Homeward Bound, Cold Mountain and Legends of the Fall because i’m a maaajor sap.
Photography was a big deal for me at an early age…
When I was about seven years old, my folks bought a digital camera. It was a big deal back then, honestly. They ended up not using it much because it was constantly in my hands.
I have always loved capturing what I find visually stunning. That ranges from one side of the spectrum to the other, but if you were to look allllllllll the way back into the archives of my earliest portfolios, you’d find an awful lot of plants. Who doesn’t love plants? Over the last decade, I got into portraiture. I feel that is my best subject when it is paired with natural elements. I see the beauty in various landscapes, but even more than that I see the beauty in every person I photograph. Each detail is important to me, and when I deliver a gallery, my biggest hope is that my client sees what I do; every perfect facet.
In 2024, I was equipped with a very important piece of paper that declares I have an ‘Associates of Applied Sciences: Photography’ degree. I poured my heart and soul into two years of learning as much as I could about photography and I am proud to use those skills today, proud to see the differences in my work since starting and where my dedication has brought me.
TerraLuxe is a “wherever the wind takes me” kind of gig.
When I am not behind the camera working my magic, my husband and I work for an earth science company that skips around the west a few times a year. This allows me to satisfy my wanderlust and make money at the same time. That being said…
my clients come first.
photography is my passion, not just a career.
I mean that with my entire soul; there are no travel limits. I want to photograph you where YOU want to be photographed.
National Park? YES PLEASE.
Grandparents little farm in the country? LETS GO!
In the sand breathing sea air? OF COURSE.
Honestly, i’m down for whatever. This is about YOU.
The photos are yours; you call the shots on the big stuff, I will help with posing (if you need it)
